It All Starts in the Brain
Which organ do you see with? Which organ do you hear with? Which organ do you sense, smell and taste with? The answer to all of these questions is the brain. The sense organs relay information to the brain, but it is the brain itself that interprets and makes ‘sense’ of this information.
Similarly in the body and mind, the brain is involved in everything you do, and brain function influences your personality, character, memory and attention, as well as controlling your physical and mental health.
When the brain is dysfunctional symptoms will appear in the body. Many efforts are directed at resolving these symptoms: SynerChi believes in addressing the brain directly to resolve the cause as well as the symptoms.
Consider the following example illustrated in the presentation below.
When the brain has a deficiency, say of a particular neurotransmitter – a chemical used to carry out brain function – then a physiological response is seen and experienced in the body. In this instance we see that a Serotonin deficiency in the brain leads to a craving for carbohydrates in the body, which can lead to pancreatic dysfunction, disturbing insulin production, and a diagnosis of Diabetes for the patient.
Conventional medicine will typically use pharmaceutical intervention to control a range of blood sugar numbers and manage the symptoms of the disease called ‘Diabetes’. Natural medicine will often step back up the causative chain a little and address the ‘dis-ease’ and dysfunction in the pancreas and insulin production systems, using diet, exercise and supplementation. SynerChi attempts to address the original deficiency at the level of the brain through neurofeedback and targeted amino acid therapy, designed to redress the imbalances in the brain before they become physical symptoms and disease processes.
